The Halo World Championship 2016 season consists of 10 live tournaments and 43 online qualifiers, culminating in the Halo World Championship 2016 finals event.

Overview

Format

The qualifying format differs between regions. Most regions use a single-tournament qualifying system, with the winner (or top 2-3) of a tournament automatically qualifying for the respective regional finals.

Exceptions

  • NA
    • Five online tournaments, each distributing points based on placings. Top 15 teams in points move onto Regional Finals. LCQ tournament to determine 16th seed at Regionals
  • EMEA
    • Several standard qualifying tournaments for general Europe, South Africa and Germany
    • 4 online tournaments exclusive to UK and Ireland, each distributing points based on placings. Top 16 in points move onto UK Finals. Top 3 at UK Finals move onto Regional Finals. LCQ tournament to determine 4th UK/Ireland team at Regionals
    • Several online tournaments exclusive to France, each distributing points based on placings. Top 4 move onto France Finals. Top unqualified team at France Finals moves onto Regional Finals, guaranteeing at least one French team at Regionals.

Halo World Championship Tour

The Halo World Championship Tour is a series of international live events which are part of the HWC 2016 season.
