Tony "LethuL" Campbell Jr. is an American player for OpTic Gaming. He is one of the most successful players in competitive Halo history, with two Halo World Championships to his name. He is well known for his time with a variety of teams, including Evil Geniuses, Counter Logic Gaming, Believe the Hype and THO Infamous.

Biography

Halo 3

LethuL's first event was MLG Columbus 2010 where he placed 26th as a member of Fire Breathing Franks with Bulletz, Monster and InSaiyan.

Halo: Reach

LethuL then attended the MLG D.C. 2010 Reach combine where he placed first with Blaze, Bulletz and Napolean as Vicious Intent. Sicker Than Yo Average, consisting of Adrenaline, Amish Acorns, Blaze and LethuL won the MLG Dallas 2010 Reach Exhibition, which consisted of players who didn't qualify for the Halo 3 National Championships occurring at the same event.

For the 2011 MLG season, LethuL remained on SyA as it changed its name to Impact and replaced Blaze with seasoned veteran Neighbor. Impact placed 2nd at MLG Dallas 2011. Neighbor was then replaced with APG for MLG Columbus 2011, where LethuL and Impact placed a disappointing 11th. LethuL then left Impact to join Evil with Crimsix, Twin Savior and APG. Evil placed 10th at MLG Anaheim 2011 and LethuL left after the event to form Infamous with APG, Blaze and Ryanoob. Infamous won MLG Raleigh 2011, and in doing so became the first team to defeat the "God Squad" Instinct roster of Roy, Lunchbox, iGotUrPistola and Ogre 2. Infamous stuck together for the rest of the season, placing 2nd at MLG Orlando 2011, and a disappointing 11th at the Providence National Championships.

For the MLG Winter Championship 2012 event, LethuL joined Dynasty with Dersky, Destin and TiZoXiC. They placed 4th at the tournament. LethuL's final Reach tournament on record is AGL 1 Chicago, where he again teamed with APG alongside Clutch and Formal as Avengers, placing 3rd.

Halo 4

For the MLG Fall Championship 2012 Halo 4 event, LethuL joined Believe the Hype with Maniac, Assault and Cloud. They placed 7-8th. After Halo 4 was dropped from MLG, LethuL would attend AGL 5 Nashville as a member of Legendary, AGL 7 Knoxville and UMG Chicago 2013 as a member of Believe the Hype, AGL 8 Knoxville as a member of Infamous and RTX 2014 as a member of Reign 812. His highest placing during this time was 2nd at AGL 8.

Halo 2: Anniversary

For the launch of MCC, LethuL joined Triggers Down with Heinz, Hysteria and FearitSelf. This roster took 3rd place at the PAX Prime Showdown 2014. LethuL then returned to Believe the Hype with Maniac, Formal and APG, and won the ESL MCC Launch Invitational. LethuL would remain on BtH to start out the inaugural HCS season. With Formal replaced by Legit, BtH took 5th place at Iron Games Columbus 2014. LethuL then left the team to join Evil Geniuses, replacing the injured iGotUrPistola. EG would take 3rd place at UGC St. Louis 2015, but would close out the season with 1st at Gamers For Giving 2015 and 1st at the PAX East 2015 season finals.

LethuL and Evil Geniuses kicked off season 2 at Iron Games Atlanta 2015, where despite losing the first series of the Grand Finals to Denial eSports, they fought back and took the extended series 3-1 to win their 3rd straight event.[1] LethuL and EG's dominance continued at HCS Indianapolis, where they won their fourth straight event.[2] At the HCS Season 2 Finals, LethuL and EG finished in 1st, despite losing the initial Grand Finals series to Counter Logic Gaming.

Halo 5: Guardians

LethuL started off the Halo World Championship 2016 NA Qualifying series as a member of EG. After four online tournaments with varying results and only one win, LethuL left the team to join Counter Logic Gaming alongside Royal2, SnakeBite and iTz So Frosty. The move had huge ramifications on the rest of the NA scene, as a domino effect of team changes occurred. LethuL's first tournament with CLG was the X Games Aspen 2016 invitational. In Group Play, CLG dominated EG, winning 3-0, but in the finals, EG edged the series out 4-3, continuing their winning streak minus LethuL. At NA Regionals, CLG dominated the event, sweeping EG in the semifinals and defeating Denial eSports 4-2 in the finals. Their dominance continued at Halo World Championship 2016 in March, as CLG would go on to take first place and the grand prize of $1,000,000.

Following Worlds, CLG were the first team to qualify for the Summer 2016 Pro League. Posting a 13-1 record, with their only loss being to Enigma6 Group, CLG went into the Season Finals as the #1 seed. They went 3-0 at the event, taking 1st place after defeating Enigma6 in the finals.

On September 14, the first day of the Fall 2016 Pro League, LethuL appeared at the end of an episode of OpTic Gaming's Vision series wearing an OpTic hoodie, signifying that the CLG roster had been acquired by the organization. This was later confirmed in press releases from both CLG and OpTic. After early losses to Evil Geniuses and Team EnVyUs in the season, the OpTic roster showed that it was still the team to beat on LAN by winning its fourth straight event - HCS Orange County 2016. A few weeks later, LethuL opted to fill in for Team EnVyUs captain Mikwen, who was unable to attend UGC St. Louis 2016 with the squad. Under the team name Truce, referencing the former bad blood between LethuL and EnVyUs member Snip3down, the roster took 1st place at the event. OpTic ended up finishing the season with an 11-3 record, good enough for 2nd place. At the Season Finals, OpTic came out strong with victories over Team Liquid and Team EnVyUs, but in the Grand Finals, it was EnVyUs that won two straight best-of-7 matches to steal the throne from OpTic.

At the first event of the Halo World Championship 2017 qualifying season, UGC St. Louis 2017, OpTic defeated Team EnVyUs in the Winners' Finals and took out Team Liquid in the Grand Finals to reclaim 1st place. At ME Las Vegas 2017, OpTic dominated the competition, sweeping Splyce to qualify for Worlds, sweeping Str8 Rippin and defeating Team Liquid twice (4-2 and 4-1) to take 1st place and solidify themselves as the team to beat going into the biggest event of the year. At Worlds, OpTic dominated their pool to earn a top seed going into the Championship Bracket. In the bracket, OpTic swept through FAB Games eSports and Luminosity Gaming before dismantling Team Liquid 4-1 to earn a spot in the Grand Finals. In the finals, they met Team EnVyUs, who were coming off of a run from all the way back in LB Round 1. OpTic made a statement, taking a 4-0 victory and securing their second straight World Championship.
