MLG Dallas 2007 was the third event of the 2007 MLG season, taking place at the Hilton Anatole in Dallas, Texas from July 20-22, 2007. Halo 2 was played in 4v4 and FFA tournaments, alongside Rainbow Six: Vegas and Gears of War.

Overview

Following the Meadowlands event, the top 5 teams (Final Boss, Carbon, FBI The Agency, 5K and Perfect Storm) stuck together. Str8 Rippin kept its one-event-per-roster trend going, trading founding member Foulacy to Nice Like Rice for Havok, while Mimic left The Business to join Str8, replacing BigTimer. Butt3rZ also left Nice Like Rice, being replaced by Pyrocy. FBI ICON opted to release ShooK On3 in favor of picking up Butt3rZ, leaving ShooK to rejoin former teammates from the 2006 season on Dipset. Other teams dwelling in the top 12-16 opted to stick together, such as XiT Woundz, Type-Z, Perfect Balance, PainX, RoC and LeGendZ.

No major upsets occurred in the opening rounds, and as a result, eight elite teams met up in WB Round 3. Final Boss and Carbon had the easiest time, mowing through Str8 Rippin and Type-Z, respectively. The Agency took a 3-1 victory over Nice Like Rice, while 5K took a nailbiter of a series, 3-2 over Perfect Storm. The first big upset came in LB 3, when 15th seeded Time 2 Prove took out 7th seeded FBI ICON, ending their night with a top 16 finish. In Round 5, Perfect Storm ended Str8 Rippin's tournament in a 3-2 victory, sending them home with a top 8 finish. Nice Like Rice plowed through XiT Woundz in the same round.

In the WB Semifinals, Final Boss decimated 5K while Carbon did the same to The Agency, setting up a familiar WB Finals. In the LB, The Agency took out Perfect Storm, while 5K made short work of Nice Like Rice. The Agency then swept 5K, handing them a 4th place finish. In the WB Final, Carbon made a statement, defeating Final Boss in four games and handing them their first series loss of the season. FB made short work of The Agency, but were unable to do much against Carbon, winning only one more game en route to a 6-2 overall loss.
