Biography

History

Halo 5

On January 10th, 2016, SoaR announced its entry into the North American Halo scene with a roster of Justin "Hunter Jjx" Joseph, Shane "WinntuR" Ward, Ryan "SneakEBeaver" Polk and Austin "Turley" Turley.[1] Prior to joining the organization, Hunter, WinntuR and Turley had been playing together on team Money Matches. After the fourth NA Halo World Championship 2016 qualifier, SoaR dropped Turley and replaced him with Cody "JuicyFruit" Brock.[2] In the 5th qualifier, SoaR finished top 8 and clinched a spot in the NA Regional Finals. At NA Regionals, SoaR went winless in their group, losing to Team Liquid, Renegades and Astral Authority. Thus, they finished top 16 and did not qualify for Halo World Championship 2016. The roster disbanded shortly after.

A year later, one week before Halo World Championship 2017, SoaR returned to the Halo scene, acquiring the only Latin American team to qualify for Worlds - the Shock the World roster of Carlos "Bullet" Marlasca, Atzin "Atzo" Pulido, Irving "Drift" Ramírez and Josbe "Tapping Buttons" Valadez.[3] Unfortunately, Tapping Buttons was unable to attend the American event due to visa issues, leaving SoaR to bring in Gilbert "MuNoZ" Muñoz as a substitute. At Worlds, SoaR finished in the bottom four, failing to win a single match.
