Team Solstice is a North American Halo team.

History

Halo 5: Guardians

Team Solstice was formed by Jeremy "Stress" Shoy in early 2016. The first roster consisted of Stress, Chris "Blaze" Chapon, Kalder "Xrossfade" Welch and Kaiss "Kaiss" Faraj. They competed at 2050 Chattanooga, where they took a top 16 finish after finishing last in their pool. Prior to the event, Stress adapted a strategy to help his team win slayers, instructing his team to not call out for the duration of the game. Solstice's slayer win percentage rose noticeably and this technique became known among the amateur circuit as "The Stress Technique". After Chattanooga, Solstice made a team change, replacing Blaze with Nik "Top Ducky" Sneed. They would then attend HCS Orange County 2016, where they managed to qualify for the Open Circuit Finals at HCS Las Vegas 2016 by finishing top 4 among amateur teams. In the Championship Bracket, Solstice were swiftly defeated by both Ego Rangers and 3sUP, resulting in a top 12 finish for the squad. Solstice again made roster changes, replacing Xrossfade and Top Ducky with Will "Galaxy" and "Nebula". They attended UGC St. Louis 2016, where a top 4 finish among amateur teams guaranteed qualification into the Espors Minor League Fall Season. They finished top 8 overall, good enough to qualify. At HCS Vegas, the new Solstice roster, having replaced Nebula with a returning Xrossfade, enjoyed a bye from the Open Bracket. In the Open Circuit Finals, Solstice were defeated by 6S Gaming and BitterSweet, resulting in their failure to qualify for Relegation. In the Championship Bracket, Solstice finished in the top 16 after losses to Team Liquid and, again, 6S.

Going into the Esports Minor League, Stress completely revamped the Solstice roster, recruiting Amorist "FireBird" Johnson, "Sprawl" and "BotchyHawk".
